Career Woman
Technically that term applies to me, but not quite. After about three months of uninspired job searching, terrifying images of me working in the future, and just plain sad examples of reality, my mom came up with the idea of me doing something completely different. Something that fits me perfectly. A dream job will have me eager to do my duties, enjoying the work environment around me, and ending the work day on a sweet note.
I am happy to finally have some guts to say that I am an artist.

When you visualize what you are, accept the label, then success follows.
We’ve all made the mistake of doing different things, not knowing where we were gonna end up, always a price is paid.

Congrats. I’ve always wanted to be a lit major and a critic (not a writer, writers have to be inspired, literary critics enjoy the fruits of their labor); instead I’m stuck dealing with ungrateful pseudo-swine flu ridden masses …..

“What do you want?” is the key. Perhaps what we want just might be the beginning of a new, gentler journey
Congrats for your new job !

What is your medium? How wonderful you have found a meaning to your life that fills you with contentment and joy.

thank you all for the support, i didn’t expect that at all!
I’m still insecure about this… i keep thinking ‘who am i to call myself an artist’ but i’m sure that will go away over time… especially once i’ve sold a number of paintings… il7amdilla i have 6 paintings lined up for 3 clients…
intlxpatr, i use acrylic and oil and am painting portraits at the moment but i’m eager to try new styles and mediums soon.
