Watch or download the new trailer of the sixth movie in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, came out on the 29th and it doesn’t really show much.
We get our first glimpse of little Tom Riddle, the troubled boy who later becomes the darkest wizard there ever was. That is all that is in the trailer, but that is a good thing! Maybe the next trailers will reveal more about the other important parts in the book.
I can’t wait to see it! Kuwait will be cutting parts of the movie so I won’t be seeing it when it first comes out. Is traveling to another country to watch the movie too crazy? What are the nearest countries that don’t censor movies?

This Peanuts character is my second favorite after Peppermint Patty. He is the younger brother of Lucy and Linus. Thanks to their parents’ sense of humor, they decided to name him Rerun after Lucy’s reaction to his arrival. She’s always wanted to be an only child and felt that having to go through another younger brother was like watching bad re-runs on TV. However, Lucy treats him noticeably nicer than she treats Linus.
Rerun’s main story lines revolve around him trying to stay alive while riding on the back of his mom’s bicycle. In the back seat, Rerun thinks about life, sings and occasionally performs soliloquies. Not bad for a one year old. In later strips and cartoons, he is depicted as a few years older. I believe that he was the only character that actually grew.
So I got my tickets to the early showing of The Dark Knight this coming Thursday and I’m super psyched about it. I was iffy about watching the first movie a couple of years ago because I was a Spiderman fan and was extremely disappointed with the movie franchise. As a result, I avoid all comic book movies. My friend said that I seriously had to watch it and I gave in once it finally came out on DVD. I liked it. I really loved the progression of how Bruce Wayne becomes Batman. Then in the last scene, the Joker reference showed up and I said “Oh crap..” We’re looking at another franchise.
But I had a change of heart. I didn’t even bother looking at the trailers once they starting coming out in July. But I just happened to see one on TV the first week I got back from Christmas break in Kuwait and I was floored. I’m getting chills just thinking about that moment. In that short two-minute trailer, Heath Ledger was fantastic. Just the way he spoke as the Joker was something to take note of. It was like Heath did not exist anymore. Pure psychotic acting. What’s amazing to me is that I was moved by just two minutes. I can’t imagine what it will be like sitting in a movie theater and watching for two and half glorious hours.
The movie is getting great reviews and many insiders are expecting record-breaking ticket sales. The tickets went on sale last week and many cities have sold out and are being encouraged to show either a second showing at 3am (early showings for the general public start at midnight, Thursday night) or even an all-day showing.
Sadly, many party-poopers are saying that all this attention the movie is getting is because of the death of Heath Ledger. Although I believe a teeny-tiny bit of it is true, I think that this movie is going to be incredible on its own. I have absolutely no doubt about it. I saw the trailer about a week or so before his death and I could tell that he gave a seriously special performance. Some critics even say that he might even be nominated for awards.
If you have not see any of the trailers, I encourage you to do so. Even if you’re not interested in the movie, I think you should see what Heath does in those two minutes! [watch this one]
