The Order of the Phoenix
Quickie review: No spoilers.
I just got back from midnight special screening of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and just as I had expected, it was fantastic. You’d think that every one of these movies would be made the same and would look very similar to each other but that is totally not the case.
We came into the theater about a half hour before the movie started. Big mistake. The place was packed but that was OK. I already booked our tickets. We went to our screen and found that it was impossible for the three of us to sit together. I even offered $10 for people to move and make three seats available for us. That’s what I hate about the theaters here: you don’t book specific seats. We ended up in the first, third and fourth row. Each of us sitting on the aisle. I was pissed out of my mind. The whole preview time was horrible, even though I usually enjoy it.
But when the familiar theme music and the Warner Bros. logo appeared, I was mesmerized. I loved the first ten minutes, it was filmed beautifully. The whole two and a half hours passed very quickly. But I was just amazed by all the actors. Wonderful job by all those who were involved. It was the first time in my life that not a single cell phone rang nor did anyone talk during a movie. We were all hardcore Potter fans. Some even came dressed in Hogwarts uniforms and the scar painted on their foreheads. One of my friends that went with me just came for the fun of it. Not a Harry Potter fan. Now, he wants to have a movie marathon soon. How can I resist?
The movie should be released worldwide in two days. I suggest you watch it. I extremely suggest watching all four movies beforehand but that’s just asking too much.
