My Favorite New Dashboard Widgets
Since I’m really bored and there’s really nothing for me to do, I spent a couple of hours ago browsing the widgets on the Apple website. Last time I did that was when I first got my iBook about two years ago. There’s some really cool stuff.
This is my dashboard.
Fandango Movie Theaters
I’ve been a fan of Fandango ever since I fist saw their hilarious commercials in the cinemas. I also bought my sneak preview Harry Potter tickets through them as well. You guys might remember this widget from the OS X Leopard keynote Steve gave a few weeks ago. He showed us this widget which is going to be a standard in Leopard. Anyway, some guy managed make it available for us now! I love it, it even shows you the trailers and everything. It looks good too. The movie posters change every few seconds when the widget is minimized. You can set it according to your US zip code.
Radio Tuner
This thing is GREAT! You can have all your radio streams here playing in one widget. Save them as favorite stations and you can flip through them easily. I have the following as my favorite stations (I put the stream link and it’s player incase you wanted to add them too, it took me ages to find these streams sometimes):
Dance.FM - “For people who still do not know, our concept is very simple; no commercial (pop) crap, no annoying commercials and no farting DJ’s ;-)” Their website shows what song is currently playing so that you can jot it down if you don’t know it.

Marina FM - Their website is the worst I’ve seen in a while, I can’t stand listening to them through there.

HawaaY The Toon..!! Metro FM is the best…4 years there it was my fav station..:)….Enjoy the tunes from Geordie-Land…and there’s a cool prog called Night Owls hosted by Alan Robson every weekday from 10pm-2am…bas ur gonna have to get used to the Geordie accent….Enjoy…:P Thanx for the Widget….

Hawaaaaaaaaaaay LOOOL ;P yeah i was actually listening to that show the other day but i was like wtf are they saying?! the host is ok and i can understand him but the ppl that call in DAYUM.. lol

The point of the show is for people to call in and talk about anything they want. And there are subjects that carry over from previous nights…not that they have to stick with them…and they sometimes have competitions etc….i used to listen to it if i was having probs sleeping…its actually relaxing :P…..AnyWay EnjoooY…
