The Regrets of the Man Who Brought Down Saddam
This is a sad article of the reality of the Iraqi situation. Kadhim al-Jubouri actually preferred Saddam over the current occupation.
His hands were bleeding and his eyes filled with tears as, four years ago, he slammed a sledgehammer into the tiled plinth that held a 20ft bronze statue of Saddam Hussein. Then Kadhim al-Jubouri spoke of his joy at being the leader of the crowd that toppled the statue in Baghdad’s Firdous Square. Now, he is filled with nothing but regret.

my god this is sad!! i mean they thought they were finally free of the tyranny but all they got was a chaotic hell, some of my maternal family fled from their homes, their jobs, schools, lives and immigrated from iraq after the recent war, to them living under the previous regime was much better, they say that they had lives, now theyre in limbo! i ask u this, after four years, wat the hell did this war do for freedom??? democracy?? peace??

I think shea in Iraq won and the sunna lost their battles and the situation is similar in Lebanon too, el tafreqa or racism is among them, anyways Saddam is dead and now no one knows the truet story about the Invation in 1990 thats my only regret that we didnt get the truth out of that bastard.

princess, 99.9% of the world knows that the war is dirty and that it is based on bad intentions that had NOTHING to do with all that democracy and freedom bullshit
Vincent, well i dont think there was any other reason Saddam had (and some officials in the current iraqi “government” still believe) that kuwait is origianlly the property of iraq
safi, i guess so
