About a month ago I used to think that Jackass was a dumb show filled with jackasses. Stupid people doing stupid things. I wasn’t interested at all at the gross things that they did and I couldn’t understand why a lot of people would be willing to watch the show.

But then when I turned on MTV late at night, they would put reruns and I found myself laughing so much! It feels as if I’m watching a video of a couple of my friends doing stupid things. So I’ve finally come to terms of the fact that I adore Jackass and the whole gang. Especially Johnny Knoxville.

Johnny Knoxville’s style of Jackass antics are not the gross-out kind. He won’t snort a live earthworm and cough it back out of his mouth, and he won’t stick a little toy car up his ass and go get himself x-rayed in a clinic. He instead, chooses the stunts that are phisically grueling like having an angry bull charge at while he stand blindfolded (image above) and smoking a cigarette or having a bunch of different ways to hurt his package while testing out a cup.

The show and movies are very enjoyable to watch. And if you have a low gross-out tolerance, don’t eat anything before watching the show. I think but am not sure that every episode and movie has a bit of violent vomitting. Mostly from Steve-O, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College graduate.

The only thing that separates them from these stupid types of jackasses is that although the crew does some pretty dangerous stuff that could result in extreme injuries, they don’t do anything that if there was a mistake it would cause certain death. Besides, the whole point of Jackass is them mostly screwing up whatever dangerous thing they plan on doing. That’s what makes the show funny.

I downloaded every single episode of their three seasons on MTV and their movies. I have them all in my iPod!

I know I’m obsessed because the other day I dreamt I snorted three lines of black pepper.
