2007
My new year’s resolution is to not have any. Not to plan anything. If good things happen then that’s awesome. If not, well then I didn’t plan them.
I slept over at my cousin’s house yesterday. My sister slept over at another cousin’s house. Rarely does our mom let us do that so it was a memorable day for all. We had a cake with fizzy candles (?) and played board games and watched downloaded TV shows and movies. I’m not much of a party person but occasionally I do enjoy myself at a party. But it was freezing outside and we just didn’t want to leave the house.
2006 was pretty much crappy. I spent Christmas vacation away from Kuwait, a young cousin left this world, had a stressful summer because of academic issues, and had a sucky fall semester. But then the last one and half months were amazing. I went to my favorite singer’s concert in New York, met old friends and made new ones there as well, surprised my parents and whole family by coming back to Kuwait, and had a football filled week with my older brother in Newcastle.
If you’re reading this, then you survived 2006. Pat yourself on the back and good luck this year.
