Intense Expressive Healing

After 15 years of unpleasant learning (and a year and a half coming up), I feel I’m going to need to just look back at what I’ve done in my life so far and see how I can kick start the rest. This is why I’m going to need a transition period.

I will take a “semester” off from life and just attempt to rehabilitate my emotions and detoxify my brain. My mom will definitely not agree with my decision but it is ultimately my decision. But I know she will find it in her heart to understand. I never do anything without consulting her first and I think she kind of appreciates that so I hope she will just let me do it.

While pursuing your education or working at your job, most of your time is dedicated towards those two fields. Therefore, very little time is spent doing something you actually want to do. Summer is heaven for students, but many of us spend most of trying to get over school and its pressures. Personally, the way I go about getting over school is being supremely lazy and non-productive. My next free summer will be in 2008, after I graduate.

During my semester off, I don’t plan on being non-productive. On the contrary, I’ll be busy doing things that will make me happy and possibly guide me towards my options when I start looking for a job. Working on things without deadlines will be a fantastic release and I will look forward to that.

The things I plan on working on during my semester off will be a photography project, a short film, painting, and writing/designing magazine article spreads for an imaginary magazine. A creative semester will do me very good. Intense expressive healing.

Finally, something to look forward to.
