I heard it's great. Both the book & the film, I mean. Never read/watched anything by her - Annie Proulx or what's-her-face-called - but I've read & watched 'A Home at the End of the World' (starring Collin Farrel), by Michael Cunningham (author of The Hours), who also happens to write about homosexuality. He actually <i>is</i> homosexual. I was disgusted by the idea of reading something by a gay author, but it turned out to be a good book. Film's almost as good as it.
