LA - Day 13, 14

This post is for yesterday and today.
We went back to the Grove yesterday to see King Kong. I wasn’t too excited to see it but my sister was. I’m such a people pleaser. Anyway, don’t get me wrong, the 4.5 rating doesn’t necessarily mean the movie was good in the complete sence (I might not know what I’m talking about at the moment). The high rating is dedicated to the absolutly STUNNING special effects. Oh my God. This movie deserves a high rating JUST for the exquisite work and effort of the special effects department. The story.. nyeh. The actors.. nyeh. The direction.. hmm, OK. I felt no chemistry whatsoever from the actors to me and to each other. The only character/actor that had a presence and had a lot of charisma was Jack Black. Naomi Watts was bland, nothing special at all. Adrian Brody tried too hard to be the romantic hero, and ultimately bombed at it. Colin Hanks, I felt, had lots of potential but wasn’t given a chance. Then there was this Jimmy character who was supposed to support the innocence of the movie. He was like a splinter in the ass. King Kong left us viewers in awe. He had more acting talent than half the cast. The direction was interesting. It felt like I was looking at old movie posters or cityscape paintings from the ’20s - ’30s. My last words on the movie is go see it. Everyone should see what the latest computer technology can do.

Today we went to 3rd Street Promenade and we lots of fun. There were many people and street performers. I went on a DVD and video game spree and a Puma Ferrari polo shirt and a pair of black Convers Chuck’s! Here’s what I got:
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 for MAC (I loved this game when I use to play it a few years ago and have been waiting a long time for it to come out for MACs.)
Fifa Soccer 2006 for PSP (I finally found it in EB Games. It was sold out everywhere I looked.)
Rossane seasons 1 & 2 (This is my favorite TV sitcom; after Friends ofcourse.)
The Terminal (My mom said she wanted to see it. So we’ll watch it when I get back home in May inshalla)
The Best of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (Do I even need to say anything at all?)
Titanic Special Collectors Edition (A guilty pleasure no doubt, but I’m a sucker for “collector’s editions” and special feature. I can never get enough special features.)
OK. I’ve been dying to start playing Fifa since I got back so adios!
Check out the photographs of yesterday and today here.
