Los Angeles

This Friday I’ll be flying off to Los Angeles to spend my Christmas vacation with my sister, inshalla. I love Los Angeles and the first time I ever went there was last May right before I went home. After lusting and obsessing for this city for nearly 7 years, it was just as I expected it to be. Exciting and colorful. Never a dull moment. You know how you believe a certain stereotype of a place is and when you actually go there you find out its not true? Like how I thought I was to be hearing gunshots in the night with screams of women and police sirens when I first came here. All untrue (except for the police sirens). Well, I had imagined LA to be a fabulous glamorous city with actors walking around and people with their coffees and flashy cars. It was all there. LA was just as I had imagined it. I saw the flashy cars, Amanda Bynes with a friend in the makeup section of a store, the sharply dressed paprazzo with their cameras and little notepads, the badly tanned rich older men with their hot young blonde girlfriends, the woman reading a script while driving her car, and Keanue Reeves walking down the street complete with full black attire and a 2-day old beard. All that in 5 days.
This time, I’ll be staying for around 20 days. This will be my sister’s first trip to the USA and I plan to show her a good time. The thing is, I need some suggestions from those of you have been to LA. Anything interesting we shouldn’t pass up?
I already have a few things in mind from the time I spent in May. My sister is an olympic shopper and likes theme parks, and I hate roller coasters and like the culture stuff. This what I have so far. So I need you guys to add more! Think cool restaraunts, no lame tours, and good times.

Dear snookie,
Take me with you. Listen it’s easy.
Ask your sister to buy me a ticket… I don’t have to sit next to her or anything. I know she’ll feel uncomfortable.
And when I get there.. I’ll be out of your hair.. we’ll just meet up at the end of the day and trade stories.
We don’t have to meet up either.. if that’s too much.
truly,
Misguided
P.S. have a wonderful trip.. but don’t stop blogging please send in pictures… sharing is caring!

Snookie -
Have a blast! If you want to star-watch, go to anywhere near “The Ivy” restaurant, you are bound to see tons of celebrities. Also, Nobu is awesome for Sushi! And the La Brea Bakery for breads…just OMG. Don’t forget to go to Chinatown too if you can.
Take care and have fun
Write and tell us all about it.
MsB, who wishes she could go to but has to stay in Kuwait and work…

Dear Snookie,
You do for Nobu, but the Ivy is too hard to get into - killa celebs chowing there! La Brea bakery is a cinch
Plus, they have an area to eat lunch, not just to buy the goods.
