Oh my goodness what a movie. I saw it Thursday night, walking in expecting to see Jennifer still as Rachel but I was so very wrong. Judging from the trailer, I thought this was going to be a regular story about a man and a woman who have an affair. Big deal. I just came to see Rachel and a cute British actor.
I won’t tell you what happens or anything but I’ll give you the idea of the story. A man and a woman plan to commence the sexual part of their affair but something terrible happens before they do. The rest of the movie is about how they deal with that life altering event and how it has affected each person’s life and family. And how it haunts them.
No ghosts or supernatural stuff. Just your everyday suspense thriller.
I gave this movie 4 out of 5 because I was extremely impressed by Jen’s acting but I thought Clive looked to much of a macho tough guy to be playing a wuss for most of the movie. I kept thinking everytime he could have fought back, “kick his butt!” But I guess it’s not that big of a deal because I loved the movie. And oh what twists (yes, more than one) there are at the end. Damn.

I just saw the trailer again and it’s really amusing how it actually steers you away from thinking about what will really happen in the movie. So if for some reason the trailer did not interest you, don’t worry. The movie is not as predictable as you think. Really.

I beg to differ on Jenn. Yea she wasn’t Rachel, but she wasn’t great either. I didn’t get a sense of “If it was another actress, she wouldn’t have done it as good as Jenn.” I just thought her role and performance were very average that many other actresses would perfect.
Maybe she’s trying to get rid of Rachel gradually?

about jen, i actually should she was trying to get rid of rachel instantly.. i really noticed it the first time we see her on the train..
btu i really liked the story and it made do a double-take in the last few scenes.. the 4 stars were based on that.. and i think that if any actor needs replacing, i would chose clive.. he’s too tough looking to be a wuss.. but its no big deal.. they were both good..
Misguided, watch it.. its good.. Roger Ebert gave it 2.5/4 stars.. thats pretty good for a tough critic like roger.. and no, lol.. its not a filim hindi and i know this because i have many of those
