Do We Really Have A Chance?
Ok, you have to bear with me here but I’ve been watching Indian movies this weekend and I’m still not sobered up.
Do love stories exist in real life? Is there such a thing as eternal love? I’ve been watching Indian movies for viewing purposes (see my “101 Things About Me” post to know the initial reason) for quite osme time now. I enjoyed the overly exagerated stories and was touched sometimes but I never cried, EVER. Yes, my cousins called me heartless but I really thought there was no reason to cry. But then last weekend, I realised Indian movies are quickly becoming more and more realistic. I mean, who can remember the sudden transition from violent superhero action movies to tear-jerking romantic musicals? And now, they are transitioning from fairytale love stories to stories that have the chance of actually happening! That right there is what caused me to shed some H2O in the weekend. I had ordered three Indian DVDs. Dil To Pagal Hai, Mohabbatein, and Veer-Zaara. All are movies I hadn’t seen. Dil.. and Veer-Zaara were ordered because I’m a fan of Madhuri Dixit and Preity Zinta, and Mohabbatein was ordered because millions of people said it is a must see Indian movie. Dil.. was good, no tears there as usual. But then I saw Mohabbatein, which was an excellent story. A story that could happen. Veer-Zaara got me bawling! I was already shocked about me crying in Mohabbatein but I was stunned with Veer-Zaara! What a beautiful story. True the ending is happy, but so very bitter. Sigh.
These stories have chances of happening but do they really? I mean, we have all the ingrediants to create a chance for one (usualy the man) to prove never-ending love. Different nationalities, arranged marriages, ect. I’m not saying I wish everyone would be in those situations just to have a love story (lol) no! I’m just saying I WANT A LOVE STORY! Haha! There I said it. I don’t know what I was saying up there but I hope some of you understood what I said.

Heya snookie! How’s it going? I used to be that way too. I never shed a single tear over any Indian movie no matter how touching. I actually really disliked Indian movies, especially ‘cuz of all the exaggerating ’till one day my younger brother got Mohabbatein and urged me to watch it. My younger bro has this friend who happens to be heartless, after watching Mohabbatein his heartless friend actually felt sad after watching the movie, so that meant the movie was a real tear-jerker. After crying my eyes out during that movie, I’m actually kinda’ into Indian movies now. I recommend you watch Kabi Kushi Kabi Gham, another real tear-jerker if I may say so myself. Alright take care of you, laters!

ee DEVDAS is supposed to be awesome.. its on my next list of movies to buy.. hopefully i’ll be able to watch it next month
DnG eee now im obsessed! just incase you wanted to know, i ordered my dvds from India Weekly.
i strongly recommend Veer-Zaara.. it was a lot stronger than Mohabbatein, at least i think it is. KKKG was actually my 2nd indian movie to watch.. after the new era of indian movies and the transition from action/fighting/crime dramas to romantic love stories (i watched a ton of indian movies as a child with my old nanny)..
Misguided, im sorry to dissappointed you but im sure you know that that isnt me in the avatar
