101 Things About Me
Last update: May.13.2008
1. My grudges last forever.
2. My grudges: ignoring, disowning, no contact.
3. My face usually shows anger and disgust but that’s just how I look.
4. People say I can draw or cartoon well. I think my messages are well communicated however, I feel like my actual drawing is childish.
5. I am OBSESSED with Drew Barrymore.
6. I want to be like my father but he doesn’t know I consider him to be the greatest hero on my heros list.
7. I love technology.
8. Four years ago I started collecting watches: so far, I have only two.
9. Summer of 2006 was a great time because I went through my first milestone: I spent a lot of time with two friends from school and our relationship developed so maturely and emotionally that they’ve become my first “real best friends.” I am certain that we will be in each others’ lives for a long time.
10. I consider myself more religious than people in my age group. My extended family think I rebel against religion because I am against the separation of Islam (Shiites, Sunnis) and refuse to practice any of the Shiite customs.
11. I saw Keanu Reeves walking down a street while I was in a car with my friend in LA. I screamed for the first time in years.
12. I am a celebrity junkie.
13. I am epileptic. And I have learned to embrace this part of myself.
14. I’ve had 7-9 grand mal seizures (I think?) so far.
15. I am a Journalism major, and I’m minoring in Art History.
16. Journalism was not my first choice. I have a secret desire to be something else but I know it is impossible so I never told anyone what it is.
17. I am constantly imagining scenarios where I am deceased and looking at how my friends and family are reacting or I am in a coma and looking how my friends and family are reacting.
18. My funky glasses attract strangers to start a conversation with me.
19. I am uncomfortable with meeting new people.
20. Change deeply saddens me.
21. Thursday family gatherings are very sacred to me. I get angry if anyone is missing because I feel they are disrespecting the rest of us who are there.
22. It highly annoys me when young CHILDREN get married before they graduate from college/university.
23. Seeing people cry in real life and movies make me smile uncontrollably.
24. My writing is getting worse as I grow older. Sucks since my career will be mostly based on writing!
25. I don’t use umbrellas when it’s raining. Either way, I’ll still get soaked down to my underwear.
26. I think all Asian men are attractive (except the obvious unattractive ones).
27. Occasionally, I feel that I’m not smart enough or I don’t have enough general knowledge to be a journalist.
28. Forrest Gump is my favorite movie.
29. The Beatles are my favorite music group. I consider them to be their own genre.
30. My favorite color is red.
31. My car would never be red. It would be black.
32. I don’t want to have children because I cannot tolerate them, I don’t know how to talk to them, and I’m very mean to them.
33. I hate tomatoes and eggplants.
34. I love spinach, and learned to love broccoli and green peppers.
35. There are two people I hate with every single atom of my body.
36. When I hate, I hate hard.
37. I use to bite my nails.
38. It takes me 40 minutes just to do my hair in the shower.
39. I love cars. Especially Ferraris, SUVs, and anything pre-1979.
40. I dislike the sun.

44. I am obsessed with everything Harry Potter.
45. TV use to mean everything to me.
46. I am a nocturnal person.
47. I have two personalities. One for home, one for outside home.
48. I can never forgive and forget.
49. I talk to myself.
50. I was once offered weed.
51. I have never tried drugs, but I did get trippy when I accidentally overdosed on my medication.
52. I feel pain and shame when someone I know drinks alcohol or uses drugs. As if I was the one doing it.
53. My mother is the smartest person I know (mashalla).
54. I am a notorious people-pleaser.
55. I carefully plan my schedule of doing work, but I never follow them.

other people cry.
70. My hands are now shaky and unsteady thanks to my first seizure.
71. My pre-seizure memory loss times have been increasing each time. I’m terrified because in some cases, people can lose up to a year or two of their memory.
72. I used to tell tall tales for fun but then people started believing them so I stopped (some still believe I spent a few hours in a Kuwaiti jail!). I need to clear that up!
73. I have many good business ideas but I don’t think I’ll get much support to start any of them because people might believe they won’t work.

76. I have never put on make-up.
77. Foundation freaks me out.
78. Channel no. 5 is my perfume.
79. I am very passionate about European soccer.
80. I love old people. They have many things to tell.
81. When tickled, I have no control of my body. I once kicked a teacher in his privates when he tickled me in 6th grade, now that I think of it, that was very inappropriate of him.

September 16th, 2005 at 11:50 pm
Okay this might sound freaky: I was listening to the Beatles’ “Till There Was You” when I was reading your list (now it’s “I Wanna Hold Your Hand”). Anyhoo, I identified with a lot of things that I’m just gonna spit out:
1- My mom is my goddess.
2- I’m so ticklish that I laugh when people just wiggle their fingers near my tummy.
3- I talk and have actual arguments with myself; sometimes I don’t speak to the Evil Erzulie for a while. It happens.
4- I have sh!tty grudges and I thought about grabbing my father’s loaded rifle and shooting the crap outta those lil’ twits…kidding…well…
5- I’m intrigued by death.
6- It’s takes me a while to get comfortable with new people; I’m introverted too
7- In EXTREMELY emotional situations, I laugh hysterically but then end up crying. It’s weird and comes up in the most inappropriate situations: from the movie, “The Notebook,” to when my grandfather passed away about a decade ago. Yeah, I KNOW!
8- I love watches too! But they usually break or stop working. Crap.
9- My face usually says what I’m thinking/feeling; I don’t have to say a word.
10- I swallowed a bee.
The things that I did not relate too are:
1- I miss makeup sometimes. I miss being all dolled up. I’m usually in my stinking sweats with my oily hairy balled up in a bun.
2- I do love kids. They surprise you because they say the smartest things sometimes. They’re so beautiful. Sometimes I want to kiss and hug the little kids on the street because they remind me of my skinny little brother but I really don’t want to be arrested for child harrassment.

September 17th, 2005 at 2:57 am
Hi snookie
I really enjoyed reading your list. It’s amazing how much one learns about people from these “100 things about me” posts.
About #4: It’s true but it gives your cartoons a cool & unique style.
#6 Tell us about the boy!
#10 I consider myself religious too.. but I don’t “look it” and a lot of my family don’t understand my type of religiousness either.
#18 Hmmm.. I used to imagine what would happen to the people close to me if I died too… but that was only when I was very young and felt wronged, so I liked thinking how sorry everybody would be if something happened to me hehe. I stopped having those thoughts once I grew up and realized that I wasn’t the center of the universe and people would eventually go on with their lives, though
#22 Family gatherings are sacred to me too!! They’re so precious
And I feel blessed to be part of an extended family that is close enough to have a regular weekly gathering. Allah ekhaleelich ahalich oo akhaleeli ahalee too
#24 You smile uncontrollably when someone cries?? Creepy! :}
#52 Me neither
Or alcohol. Yay for us. Although I have had a recurring dream of me smoking on a cigar (!) I wonder what Freud would say
#53 Me too!! Very much so
#78 Even if the foundation doesn’t show? It’s possible, you know
#87 I can’t believe it! I removed a mouse once too (it was in our chalet though) Except I think it was dead. Same with my lizard incident
#89 Trust me.. It’s never too late to get close to a family member. Think of yourself in 10 years time: you’ll feel how it would have been easier to have made the first step 10 years ago (i.e. now)
#95 Hiya Boofy
When can we expect your own list?? Haha I love your name!
#101 There’s no place like home and there’s no place like Kuwait!
Thanks again Snookie for letting us get to know you better
Gigi, responsively
September 17th, 2005 at 3:25 pm
mashkoora GIGI 3ala ur feedback! it was aesome
#4: FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES!! i like some complete honesty sometimes.. thx babes
im pretty sadistic most of the time :/
but cigars are sexy
#6: hehe.. wish i could.. but i only bask in his rays of cuteness.. i never even heard him speak..
#10: some people dont understand that religion is a personal thing and that u dont have to SHOW everyone ur beliefs.. im content with myself (makes sense?)
#18: actually all the visions i had of those it was them forgetting me..
#22: inshalla for u and me both :*
#24: shiftay? im sadistic AND morbid.. lol.. bs its true.. sometimes its so embarrassing i have to cover my mouth and look down.. HOWEVER!! i watched the indian movies Mohabbatein and Veer-Zaara ams and i actually CRIED (but with smiling :/ ).. i never cry at indian (or any) movies
#52: GOOD FOR YOU!
#53: yeah, its pretty hard
#78: LOL im very good at telling if someone has it on or not..
#87: its fun really.. sometimes i made them move towards my sister whos standing on the couch just for fun! lol..
#89: im trying, since i study bara, but its soooooo awkward :/
#95: LOL walla tara when my cousins msg me theyre like hi shlonich? shlon boofy? LA TZA3LEENHA! la tinsein itsab7eenha o tli3been ma3aha 3adel.. lol!
#101: sa7 ilsanich ;P

September 18th, 2005 at 2:59 am
walla mini tara same here.. the best writing comes when u r feeling either very happy or very sad.. laa ana agool kamil wala yhimik.. moo lazem personal stuff it7u6 3ala keifik.. ana sa3at personal sa3at la.. il muhim ina ya3jibik o yray7ik inta..
good luck o keep on trying
September 18th, 2005 at 4:17 am
It was my pleasure, snooks
By the way for some reason the link I added in my comment on #53 didn’t come out right, so here’s that link again: CliCk Me
About #18 again: That’s so sad! The reason I stopped having those fantasies was precisely because it was depressing to think of all my loved ones forgetting about me.. and yet you enjoy dwelling on that very thing :(( By the way, I think this, coupled with #58 (enjoying cuts, scratches, puncture wounds) make you a Masochist and not a sadist, who is someone who enjoys inflicting pain, rather than receiving it. By the way I hope you don’t hurt yourself on purpose! Tara your body and health are a blessing from God and you should treat your body like the amana that it is, and take care of yourself sweets
Gigi, concernedly
September 18th, 2005 at 12:39 pm
ok i got the link this time
great post o i’d like to add ina i never thought it was the norm, i just knew very little about the issue.. i knew that many were doing it, and that they were hiding which is a good thing.. and that adds to the fact that people who do drink shouldn’t validate it (great point at the end there) cuz if they were, they wouldnt be hiding..
September 27th, 2005 at 12:18 am
I came across your blog from kuwaitblogs.com.
19 & 20. What a combination. Does it freak you out when random people come up and start talking to you?
73. Some people are so naive
77. Yeah, me neither. Then again, most guys don’t.
88. Same here. They get dirty all the time.
99. I read it doesn’t necessarily cause problems, but I bet it does. I still do it to… bad habit.
100. Something I can honestly say most americans I know would not say. Family values, lacking in the USA.
September 27th, 2005 at 12:51 am
thx for stopping by william..

well it freaks me a little bit.. but i dont blame them.. my glasses are super funky
i know, but it was fun

September 29th, 2005 at 10:09 am
This is a wonderful method of gaining insight into oneself and others. I mentioned it to a friend of mine and said that I planned on writing a list myself.. she loved the idea and said she would do that with her family. May I show her your list and/or your area-77 site?
September 30th, 2005 at 5:09 pm

First of all, my internet is down, and ur blog and a torrent site are they only sites that work in my bookmark list, all other sites dont work
I was bored, I have 2 hours till my next class, and its raining so hard that i feel like someone is holding a water hose and spraying water on my window (thanks for the chilly tip :P)
I got to this post by looking at your favorite posts, listening to tebara by nawal (it breaks my heart listening to it everytime)
here it goes:
#1 i hope the whole madrid vs arsenal thing didnt lead into u having a grudge
#7 I feel the same way about my father too.

#8 who doesnt love technology!
#9 same here, i started collecting watches since i graduated highschool, like 5 years ago, my first watch was a gift from my grandmother, and its my only watch so far
#10 I consider myself more relegious than my friends, but i dont show it.
#21 i hate change, if its not broken dont fix it! thats the way i see it
#25 goodluck with ur major then

#80 me too, but u already know that
#89 it breaks my heart that i am not close to my siblings, i have not live really lived with them since highschool, i went to school in saudi, only saw them in weekends and vacations, and the 6 month break i took before coming to the states.

April 27th, 2006 at 6:14 pm
