Citizens Alliance for the Legalization of Marijuana
Hi people! I’m back (not in Kuwait yet)! I had a little free time and thought I’d say hi.
I was flipping through the channels late at night a few weeks ago (the best TV is late at night), when I stopped at the community channel for Bloomington. It’s where local events are televised, preaching and ads that have local radio music in the background like this one right here.
The word ‘marijuana’ caught my eye and I stopped to absorb the ad. I thought it was interesting because this group/organization is from my university. It’s cool that they are speaking out about it because where else would you get more support for this cause than in a university? I planned on going to these meetings to see what they were talking about and if they actually were stoned while IN the meeting. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t support it or anything I just want to see how they feel about it. I want to know what makes them think it is ok. I’m sure I’ll be hearing the argument that it serves as a painkiller for some cancer sufferers. I’ll see. I didn’t have the chance to go, so I’ll hopefully be able to go in the fall.

Such a coincidence. I just had a ‘talk’ with a 15 year old and a 23 year old who both insist on convincing me (and themselves of course) that it is no more harmful than a glass of wine. Both are exceptionally smart and well read and can hold an argument. I can just see them in such talks convincing more gullible university students. Both are slacking off in their life/education. Such a waste.

A simple argument against marijuana :
Most of the profits made with marijuana goes to mafia & terrorists.
Another one : smoking one joint per week is as toxic as a smoking one box of cigarettes per day.
You should warn the 15 year old boy that when he will reach 20 he won’t be smart anymore because his neuronal system will be damaged.
And if he is really clever he will start to convince people not to smoke marijuana.
