10 Things I Wish I Had
1. I wish I had not eaten pizza today.
2. I wish I had been born in 1946, so that I could have savored the Beatles movement in my late teens and early twenties.
3. I wish I had tried harder to make my cousins understand that in this day and age, it is a mistake to marry someone you first see when he proposes.
4. I wish I had made myself happy with the choices I have chosen on my own.
5. I wish I had the privilege of physically being with the great crowd of people in front of the parliament building on March 7th.
6. I wish I had listened every time I heard “I am your mother. I am always right, but it’s your choice.”
7. I wish I had stuck to the promises I made to myself and to others.
8. I wish I had a better relationship with my immediate family.
9. I wish I had not been a pain in the ass to my parents in my early teens (maybe still?).
10. I wish I had not eaten pizza today.

Snookie,
You remind me a lot of myself when I was your age. If I could go back, knowing then what I know now, I would try and see the bigger picture, use forethought to judge what the consequences will be in the future for my actions now. I would plan ahead. I would listen to my mom - moms really do know everything. I would work hard while I’m young, I would acquire the knowledge of what responsibilities are necessary to be an adult, and I would work toward taking them. I would save my money.

adding to my post above:
I didn’t want to do any of that when I was your age. But I would’ve made things a lot easier on myself, and I’d be much better off, if I would have.
